Literature Text

This world is falling, slow but sure.
And with it falls Heaven's angels.
Angels whose wings were once white as snow
Are now dark and have become Heaven's foe.
Now with the demise of all that was beautiful
My own body fails me and I too crumble with the old world.
But as I come upon my final hour,
The last breath of my pain and struggling,
One fallen angel reaches out and his fingers grace mine.
I gasp; he is all of the beauty that is left now.
So, why should he reach out to me?
But he stretches and lifts my body from the wretched ground.
Marvelous black wings open toward the sky
And the most evil of all angels takes flight with me in his arms.
Yet as evil as he may be, some compassion lies within he.
The higher he flies, the stonger I feel.
It's not long before I feel complete and heeled.
He glances down at me and holds me tight to his breast.
We soar to the highest of mountain crests
Where we break to take a rest.
Our eyes, they meet for the first time,
And deep within his, I find something evil yet something divine.
It is a feeling more powerful and more dangerous than even hate.
The purest of smiles crosses his beautifully evil lips;
He leans forward and pulls my body close to his.
I've never felt more safe before, even in the most innocent of arms.
The feelings we share are the most evil of all sins,
Yet they are the purest of all good.
We cherish the moment and know that it is true;
That the feelings we hold so dear and so true
Come not from below, nor even above,
But they come from the heart, that we both knew,
We could always trust in these feelings of love.
I wrote this one day while waiting on my class to start. I had a lot of spare time and a lot of one person in mind when writing it.
